The Bible teaches that death is not natural. Death is not proper to man; it is the result of sin. Death is defined as an enemy! So how does the Christian deal with death?

If Jesus does not come back in your lifetime, you will certainly face death. What is your plan? Should the Christian be buried? What about cremation? There are several issues that a Christian should consider.

Our special guest Tim Post will help deal with these questions. Tim is uniquely qualified to speak to these issues!

Tim Post’s life has been centered around ministry, having served as a minister for over forty years. Tim Post is currently the Pastor of Bethel Baptist Church in Bastrop, LA. Tim is also an amazing singer. He is also the Owner of Golden Funeral Home of Bastrop, LA, where he is a licensed funeral home director. He is a graduate of Louisiana Christian University with a BA in Religious Education. He and his wife Carmen have one son, Jacob, daughter-in-law Courtney, and two granddaughters, Adilyn and Emerlyn.

Christian Outdoor Ministry is a group of Christians dedicated to leading youth and their families to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ by experiencing hunting, fishing and outdoor activities in the beauty and bounty of God’s creation.

 

In April 2017, Christian Outdoor Ministry began with a vision and a commitment to provide hunting and fishing events as a witness to Jesus christ to youth and their families. 

 

Our country and our families are in great trouble in America and the family unit is disintegrating rapidly. The family is the foundation of our country. We must find ways to strengthen our families relationships. Christian outdoor ministry provides opportunities to help strengthen the bonding and communication between youth and their parents.

 

During Christian Outdoor Ministry’s outdoor events they share the message of Jesus christ with youth and their families. They take time to include devotionals, prayers, and opportunities of pointing to god's creation as an example of his great love for each of us.

 

The mission of Christian Outdoor Ministry is to be a Christian witness and to introduce the gospel of Jesus Christ to youth and their families through mentored education outdoor activities, educate and provide opportunities to experience wildlife management/conservation in action, and to strengthen and bond the relationships with youth and their families as they experience God’s amazing creation. Christian Outdoor Ministry   desires to assist youth and their families to become disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ though the platform of outdoor experiences.

 

The FOUNDER/PRESIDENT of Christian Outdoor Ministry is DR. DANNY SOUDER. Danny graduated from Texas Christian University with a BA in 1967. Danny then proceeded to study at the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and graduated with a Masters of Divinity in 1976. Danny graduated from Luther Rice Seminary with a Doctorate of Ministry in 2007. Danny's lifelong hobby is hunting. He also serves as a professional hunting guide for deer, elk and turkey and leads Christian Outdoor Ministry - a discipleship ministry that brings parents and their children together as they hunt and experience the outdoors in a Christian environment.

Currently, he is serving on the Pastoral Ministry Team at the Southern Baptists of Texas Convention. His main work is in church revitalization, helping pastors create healthy cultures in their churches. He is married to Kristen and they have two children.

In May 2021, he earned a PhD in Pastoral Ministry from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary where he now serves periodically as an adjunct professor in Pastoral Ministry. He also holds a BA in Practical Theology from Howard Payne University and a MA in Theology from SWBTS. He and Susan have been married since 1987 serving in ministry together as they raised their four daughters.
